We know that the images we see on a daily basis influence our perceptions of social and beauty standards. How many of the campaigns or social media posts that you have seen in the last week have included a person with a disability? If you do not see yourself represented in the images around you and the world does not see you represented in the images around them, how can we normalize that people with disabilities should be included in society? A lack of diversity in advertising alienates people who feel underrepresented.
My photography is an ever growing body of work that is proof that including people with disabilities into campaigns can be beautiful. I am leading with example and showing the industry what is possible.
